Christmas

Christmas time is a great time for giving. This year each girl got to choose their favorite holiday treat for holiday treat plates. The girls had a blast making the goodies. I think they had the most fun think of people who could use a holiday plate to brighten the holidays. It is nice to have a few moments to enjoy what Christmas should be all about, giving.

Christmas Eve with the Mason boys

Holiday time is a great time to spend together and start new family traditions. Instead of making gingerbread houses this year, we made Christmas trees out of rice krispy treats. Each of the kids with the Mason boys decorated the Christmas trees with frosting and candy. Trevor tried to taste them all to find the best one.

Kelsey soccer team "The Stars"

I finally got Kelsey's soccer pictures. Her teams is called "The Stars". The Stars were the first team she played on. It was the team I use to coach before I got pregnant with Trevor and had to quit because I couldn't function.
She tried to go back the next season but the roster was full. So, she played on the Cowgirls. She loved playing with them because she was a superstar compared to the other girls. Then the next season, I moved her up a division so she would not have to play against KyLee's team (which moved up because they were so good). That season, I went back to coaching but just assistant coach because they need help. That was fun with Trevor. Her team was called the Stingers. The girls were huge compared to her. Her team struggled. Half of the team never played soccer until that season. They played against teams that played together since they were 5. We lost.
This season I finally got her back on The Stars. They actually combined Cowgirls and The Stars since they were moving up a field. Kelsey had a great season. They came in 3rd place. They were the only Wylie team to place in her division. They had to play all the hard teams. They never played against the bad team. The two teams that placed above them, they actually won. They took the team to Sword tournament. Most of their games were tied or within a point. The girls had fun. It was very cold. They played in their sweats. We crawled up in our blankets and passed out hot chocolate to stay warm.

The Stars call Kelsey Sonic because she is so fast and has great endurance on the soccer field. She enjoys it. They let her play as much as she wants which is most of the game becasue she hates to sit on the sideline.

KyLee's U10 soccer team, The Lady Patriots, went to the The Wendy's Tournament of Champions. It is a tournament where all the first place teams from all the soccer associations in North Texas compete against each other. It is several long days at the soccer field. The girls play up to three soccer games a day, several days in days in a row. Trevor was actually pretty good. We took lots of walks aroung the soccer fields. Some of the teams played nice, others played dirty. KyLee's coach teaches them to play clean soccer which is nice.
Out of over 500 teams in North Texas, KyLee's team got second place.
Way to go Lady Patriots!!

We finally got our family pictures. It has only been 10 years. Trevor fell asleep in the way and was not happy when we woke him up. He would only smile for Spencer's silly ring tones on his phone. And that only lasted so long. But we now have pictures and will be mailing them out in the next couple of weeks.

Spencer builds a car for Trevor

Spencer decided to build a car for Trevor for X-mas.
He spent a lot of time on it.
He built it big enough that the girls can sit inside to ride it too.
He painted it red to match Lightening McQueen (from Trevor's favorite movie).
He made a step on the back so someone can ride on the back too.
Trevor is very excited for it. He helps Spencer make it and constantly wants to sit in it to try to drive it.

Halloween

This year we decided to make our own halloween costumes. We made candy bar costumes out of pillowcase. Trevor was not in his costume in this picture. He was a M&M and I was a Reese Peanutbutter cup. The girls won a halloween contest with their costumes.

Here is a picture with Kelsey and KyLee holding their carved pumpkins. They definitely has the best pumpkins.
This was Trevor's first trick or treating Halloween. He had a blast. I think he was running faster to the houses than Kelsey. He was on a tootsie roll mission. If he got a tootis roll, he would stop and eat it. If not, he was off to the next house.

Daddy's Little Helper

Whenever Spencer tries to mow, Trevor goes crazy and thinks he needs to mow with him. It is so cute. He even knows how to start it up. Luckily he doesn't have the muscles to do it yet.

Well, I decide to join everyone else and start a blog. I'm hoping this will help keep everyone updated to life here in Wylie. Right now, soccer season is starting up again. I decided to take a break from coaching life for the girls and be a soccer mom. Hopefully I will stop dreaming about soccer plays. Probably not. Spencer and I still play on a co-ed soccer team Coyotes. Spencer enjoyed being able to play the field this summer. (He is usually our goalie) It was nice for me, too, to be able to play mid and forward instead of defense. It was more running to help me run off more of this baby weight. I still do Girl Scout for the girls. This year they got to go horseback riding. Kelsey quickly chose the smallest horse. We also did a bunch of crafts. It was nice to pull out the scroll saw again. Trevor doesn't let me do many crafts. Trevor is a motor mouth. He has learn how to open doors. He is constantly sneaking into the pantry and goes right for the oatmeal. He loves to wrestle. I think his favorite thing to do is scream (it is high pitched). He thinks he is funny. I blame the girls. Overall, life is good. We love living in Wylie.
